Survey Response - Preamble

Greetings TRIO Alum,

The Educational Opportunity Association (EOA) is excited to share with you various ways to stay involved with the TRIO programs. During your educational journey, you may have been part of a TRIO program within EOA's states - Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin. By joining the EOA TRIO Alumni Network you will have the opportunity to reconnect and network with TRIO alumni, stay involved and informed about issues related to TRIO programs and students, and be a voice in advocating for the TRIO programs that currently serve low-income and first-generation students nationwide.

If you would like to be informed about: the current developments of TRIO, alumni events, TRIO legislative issues, and volunteer, professional development, and employment opportunities, please complete the following survey.

Sincerely,

The Educational Opportunity Association (EOA)

About TRIO

In 1965, our nation asserted a commitment to providing educational opportunity for all Americans regardless of race, ethnic background or economic circumstance. In support of this commitment, Congress established a series of programs to help low-income Americans enter college, graduate and move on to participate more fully in America's economic and social life. These programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and are referred to as the TRIO Programs (initially just three programs). Each of the TRIO Programs provides an extensive array of services designed to provide access and increased opportunity for success in post-secondary educational opportunities.

TRIO programs include:
Educational Talent Search (ETS), Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), Upward Bound (UB), Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS), Veterans Upward Bound (VUB), Student Support Services (SSS), and Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair).

EOA Foundation

The EOA Foundation provides scholarships and awards to TRIO and educational opportunity program students in the ten-state region served by EOA.
